If you’re in the mood to cozy up with a good TV show this fall, period dramas are just the thing you’re looking for. They’re going stronger than ever right now, and here are three worth putting on your watch list if you’re a fan of this genre.

The Buccaneers

Based on Edith Wharton’s unfinished novel of the same name, The Buccaneers centers on a group of young American women trying to fit in into London’s high society, where they were sent to look for love and marriages during the 1870s.

The Gilded Age

The Gilded Age is one of the shows responsible for putting period dramas on the map in recent years, and it returned for its second season this fall. It’s set in New York City’s rigid social scene, where the clash between the “old money” and “new money” is the cause of constant drama among the members of the Upper East Side’s society.

Lessons in Chemistry

Lessons in Chemistry is not set in such a distant future, and it will take us to 1960s America. It’s based on Bonnie Garmus’ hit novel of the same name about an aspiring chemist who becomes an overnight sensation after becoming a host of a cooking show with a feminist twist.
