Billie Eilish, the renowned “Queen of Gen-Z Pop”, is not just known for her haunting vocals and unique style. She is also a strong voice in advocacy for veganism. Here are five things about her approach to food you may not know. 

Early Adoption

Eilish embraced veganism at the age of 12, after being raised as a vegetarian. Her transition was not just a dietary change but a conscious decision sparked by her awareness of animal mistreatment in the industrial food system. 

Environmental Advocacy Through Music

Eilish doesn’t just practice veganism. She actively promotes it through her music and public platforms. During her “Happier Than Ever” tour in early 2022, she included an “Action Village” at every concert location, which hosted various environmental organizations. 

Founding a Non-Profit Organization

Alongside her mother, Billie Eilish launched Support + Feed, an award-winning nonprofit organization. Its mission is to create an equitable, plant-based food system while combating food insecurity and the climate crisis. 

Gluten-Free

Not only is Elish vegan, but she’s also gluten-free. But Elish did admit that she cheats with gluten from time to time.  

Vegan Fashion Collaboration

Eilish collaborated with Nike to launch vegan Air Force 1 and Air Jordan sneakers, promoting not just vegan food but also vegan fashion.
