It’s been three years since Andrew Garfield gave us his last movie performance, but he’s finally gearing up for a comeback. Trailers for several of his upcoming projects recently came out, and they’ll make you see the Oscar-nominated actor in a whole new light.

Mainstream

Garfield’s first film of 2021 shows him joining forces with Gia Coppola, and it’s truly one wild ride. It centers on three young people looking for internet stardom through their viral YouTube videos, only to discover the dark side of this seemingly perfect world.

The Eyes of Tammy Faye

This Searchlight Pictures drama is expected to premiere in the fall, together with many other Oscar-bound projects. It stars Jessica Chastain and Andrew Garfield as infamous televangelists Tammy Faye Bakker and Jim Bakker, and it will offer an intimate look at their lives.

Tick, Tick… Boom!

If you’re a stranger to Andrew Garfield’s musical abilities, this film will help you discover them. Helmed by Lin-Manuel Miranda, as his feature directorial debut, Tick, Tick… Boom! is the semi-autographical take on the life of famed playwright Jonathan Larson, and it shows him trying to navigate the pressures of life as an artist in his 30s.
