If you enjoy taking personality tests that help you get to know yourself better, you’re going to love the enneagram test. It’s very popular among young people right now and will help you discover your personality type.

If you’re familiar with the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator test (MBTI), this is something similar. As the Enneagram Institute describes, “it is common to find a little of yourself in all nine of the types, although one of them should stand out as being closest to yourself. This is your basic personality type.”

So, there are nine personality types and you can find out which one is your basic type in many places online, for example here. You can complete the test in around 10 minutes and expect to see that you’re mostly one of the following types:

  • the reformer
  • the helper
  • the achiever
  • the individualist
  • the investigator
  • the loyalist
  • the enthusiast
  • the challenger
  • the peacemaker

Don’t take personality tests too seriously, though. They are a fun tool that can help you get to know your strengths and weaknesses, but the results can vary a lot based on when and how you take them.
