Tokyo has introduced the official mascots for 2020 Summer Olympics and Paralympics. The Olympics mascot is called Miratiowa and the Paralympics mascot is called Someity.

Miratiowa is a combination of Japanese words for future and eternity, while Someity translates to “so mighty” and comes from a tye of cherry blossom called “Someiyoshino.”

The mascots are currently located in Mascot House at the Atrium of Tokyo Midtown Hibiya for everybody who’s interested in visiting. As the official website says, “It’s only place where everyone can meet the mascots during the summer holidays.”
