We’ve all been through it in 2020, and to say 2020 isn’t our year, is a huge understatement. The latest Instagram trend brings some lighthearted humor to this—it’s a calendar of collages of moods throughout 2020.
Celebrities, like the rest of us, haven’t had great years, and Reese Witherspoon joined in on the trend. On her Instagram, she posted a photo caption, “Yup. #2020” with her Legally Blonde character Elle Woods, bright and overly optimistic in January, a concerned Elena Richardson from Little Fires Everywhere in February, in March things start to become less peppy, and by June she’s out in the wilderness as Cheryl Strayed from Wild.
Kaling was inspired by Witherspoon’s post so she shared her own version and captioned it “Pretty much. Inspired by @reesewitherspoon.”
Kerry Washington was the next actress to join in and she captioned her post, “@reesewitherspoon @mindykaling…SAME.”
Soon enough, fans started jumping on board posting their 2020 mood calendars and tagging Witherspoon and Kaling.
