Each Christmas Eve, we look forward to making holiday cookies for Santa. But if you’re looking to mix thing up, it’s time to try the newest holiday treat—Reindeer Bait.
Reindeer Bait is similar to Santa’s Trash, puppy chow, and dirt cakes, and trust us when we say, it’s much tastier than it sounds! The best part is that it’s super easy to make and you probably already have all the ingredients in your pantry. All you need are pretzels, sprinkles, chocolate, and whatever sweets and salty snacks you want to add.
To make Reindeer Bait, combine sweet treats like marshmallows, M&M’s, and candy canes on a baking sheet and mix in your salty treats like pretzels, nuts, Chex, and potato chips. To hold everything together, add melted white chocolate chips or a melted white chocolate bar. Then mix everything together and refrigerate the tray for an hour. After everything is set, break the Reindeer Bait into smaller pieces. It really is that easy!
So this holiday season, don’t forget about Rudolph, Prancer, and Blitzen. After all, they work hard too and we’re sure they could use a snack.
