]]>From award shows to Fashion Month, there’s one beauty trend that’s shining brighter than all others—face bedazzling. Between rhinestones, pearls, and stars, we’ve been seeing face embellishments all over the red carpet and runway and it’s a fashion-forward ’90s look celebrities can’t seem to get enough of. Here are some of the stars who have been rocking face bedazzling.
Machine Gun Kelly is always one to experiment with beauty looks whether it’s long nails or tongue art, but at the MTV VMAs he toned things down with pearl face jewels down his jawline, nose, and sideburn area.
Face bedazzling was everywhere at the Met Gala and Storm Reid was one of the many young stars to wear them. The Euphoria star surrounded her eyes with pearls.
One of the Met Gala’s co-chairs, Amanda Gorman dripped in crystals from head to toe, starting with her face which featured rhinestones from the corner of her eyes to her hairline.
The Game of Thrones star finished off her punky makeup at the Met Gala with one tiny black rhinestone dot on each lashline.
Ozark star Julia Garner matched her rhinestone eye makeup to her glittery silver gown for a dramatic makeup effect at the Met Gala.

]]>The Met Gala is one of many events that were put on hold in the face of the global pandemic last year, but it’s set to make a triumphant return this fall. The 2021 Met Gala has officially been announced, and the more we learn about it, the more excited we are.
This year’s Met Gala will celebrate the opening of the Costume Institute’s next exhibition, titled “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion”. The theme of American independence will continue with the second part of the exhibition “In America: An Anthology of Fashion”, set to open next year.
Honorary Met Gala chairs Tom Ford, Adam Mosseri, and Anna Wintour will be in a pretty good company this year. The upcoming event will be co-hosted by a slate of multi-talented young stars—Oscar-nominated actor Timothée Chalamet, Grammy-winning singer Billie Eilish, poet and activist Amanda Gorman, and tennis champion Naomi Osaka.
The Met Gala usually takes place on the first Monday of May, but as it’s too late that, it will be held on September 13th instead. The masterminds behind this event are hoping they’ll be able to go back to normal next year and host an extravagant gala on May 2nd, 2022.
