One such hack that has gone viral recently is the perfect ponytail hack. It comes from a TikTok user called @the.bridalist, who also happens to be a hairdresser. How does it work?

1. Put your hair in a normal ponytail.
2. Tie a scrunchie (or a regular hair-tie) around the ponytail a few times.
3. Before pulling your hair through the scrunchie for the third and final time, use your free hand to split the ponytail into two sections. Flip the top half over your head so that it’s out of the way, and tie the last part of your scrunchie around just the bottom half of your ponytail. 
4. When the top piece of the ponytail sits on top of the scrunchie, it will be lifted.
