Còsagach is a Gaelic word for being sheltered, cozy, and warm. Sounds familiar? Turns out, Danmark is not the only country that has a word for the concept of slow living during the winter; it’s typical for the northern countries.
These concepts aren’t necessarily limited to winter, but it’s when they are the most prominent. In an attempt to get the most out of life, people have found ways to practice hygge throughout the year, and the same can be done with còsagach. As long as you know a few key ingredients, you can apply them whenever you feel like it.
Besides the cold weather, other còsagach-like things include weekend escapes to nature, eating and drinking with friends either at home or in a cozy bar, staying indoors and relaxing, etc.
