A couple of months after introducing its Explore tab that allowed us to discover new music, YouTube is expanding its influence in the music world with its newly-launched global charts.

The main idea behind this innovation is allowing YouTube users to “directly engage with the most popular music from 57 countries around the world.” In addition to seeing which songs and artists are trending in your own country, you can use this new feature to explore global music trends everywhere from Germany to South Africa.

The chart section offers insight into several different categories, including top songs, top music videos, and top artists in your home country—or another countries around the world. It’s a pretty interesting feature which allows you to see how global trends differ from country to country.
