Following the latest fashion trends can sometimes be risky because it’s unclear if something actually looks good or it just looks like a fun novelty. Only time tells whether a certain trend was a hit or a miss, and here are three of the worst fashion trends we’ve seen in recent years.
Short/Long Dresses
Dresses that confuse us about their actual length started appearing in 2017 and they were a hit for a few years. Are they short or long? Nobody can tell yet. Short in the front and long in the back, these dresses and skirts are not easy to wear as they’re not appropriate for many occasions.
Platform Sneakers
Platform sneakers appeared around 2012 and had their 15 minutes of fame, but many people immediately started hating them. They are not practical at all. They’re not as comfortable as regular sneakers or as elegant as high heels, so they are the worst combination of the two.
Transparent Shoes
The transparent shoe craze began in 2018 when Kim Kardashian wore them. However, nearly everyone who’s not a fashion trendsetter agreed that they were simply too impractical and didn’t even look good.
