Season 3 of Sex Education is finally in, and it’s as amazing as we hoped it would be. Otis, Maeve, Eric, and the rest of the characters we know and love made an expected comeback, but the new season also introduced us to a few new faces that got everyone talking.

Ruby Matthews

Ruby has been part of Sex Education from the very start, but the new season introduced us to new layers of this character. We got to learn more about her during the brief time she was dating Otis, and Mimi Keene definitely stood out as the breakout star of this season.

Hope Haddon

Jemima Kirke did a great job portraying the new headmistress at Moordale School, who turned out to be the biggest villain of Season 3. Hope seemed pretty cool and chill in the beginning, but it quickly turned out she’s basically the Dolores Umbridge of Moordale, and everyone was happy to see her get the boot.

Cal Bowman

Cal is one of the most notable new characters introduced in Season 3, and the connection they developed with Jackson Marchetti was a joy to watch. As a non-binary person, Cal struggled with Moordale’s new rules more than most and gave us some of the show’s most powerful moments by standing up for what they believe.
