Viral TikTok Food Trends All Have These Three Things in Common

From whipped coffee to hot chocolate bombs, TikTok has given us more food trends than we can count this year and they just keep coming! If you’re trying to cook up the next food craze that will take this social media platform by storm, keep in mind that each TikTok food trend has a couple of ingredients in common.

Visually Pleasing

To go viral on TikTok, foods don’t have to necessarily taste good, but they do have to look amazing. Visually appealing dishes are more likely to take this platform and the rest of the world by storm because more people are willing to recreate them.

Key Ingredients

It’s not common for viral TikTok dishes to come with a long list of complicated ingredients. You usually need between five to ten things to recreate them, if not even less, and the majority of ingredients are pretty basic and most people already have them at home.

Easy to Make

Due to TikTok’s copycat nature, a recipe has to be quick and easy to go viral. You shouldn’t be a baking pro to pull off any of these recipes, and the easier they are, the more people will be willing to give them a try and record a video showing the final result.

[Cloud Bread ☁️] I am back for another viral Tiktok recipe! Cloud bread is one of the latest food trends that has taken over Tiktok, and you only need 3 ingredients to make it: egg whites, sugar & corn starch! (You probably already have them all in your kitchen 😉) This fluffy bread is light and airy on the inside — the texture is actually quite similar to an angel cake~ 💕 Tips: Do not overmix or undermix the meringue or else it will not have the fluffy texture! Remember to eat it immediately before it deflates or becomes wrinkly! ___ INGREDIENTS 3 Egg Whites 30g Sugar 10g Corn Starch 1-2 drops Food coloring, optional PREPARATIONS 1. Heat the oven to 300°F. Line parchment paper on a baking sheet. 2. Use an electric mixer and whip the egg whites on medium high until frothy. 3. Add in sugar and cornstarch into the bowl. Continue whipping on high until the whites can form a stiff peak, about 5 minutes. 4. Scoop out the meringue onto the parchment paper and shape it into a fluffy cloud. 5. Bake for 20-25 minutes. (The outside will be a light golden brown) Let it cool for several minutes.
