Eilish has long been recognizable by her neon green roots, but she decided to get rid of them long before sharing her new blonde locks with the world. The Grammy-winning singer previously said she’ll reveal a new hairstyle after her documentary The World’s a Little Blurry comes out to signify the beginning of a new era.
Eilish’s new hairstyle has been compared to Debbie Harry’s iconic cut, so is she planning to pay homage to the pop-punk era of the 70s and 80s with her new album? She also ditched her signature baggy clothes for a preppy cardigan, and we can’t wait to learn what the meaning behind this change is.

Eilish has been working on her sophomore studio album for quite some time now. Last year, she surprised fans with two brand new singles “My Future” and “Therefore I Am”. It’s still unclear if they’ll be included on her next album and if they’re a part of the “new era”.
In addition to teasing new music with a different hairstyle, Eilish discussed her upcoming album during a recent interview with Stephen Colbert. The “Bad Guy” singer said she wouldn’t have made the same album if it wasn’t for the COVID-19 pandemic because “when things are different in your life, you’re different.”
