You Can Now Wear L’oréal’s New Virtual Makeup Line on Zoom Meetings

We’ve seen selfie filters becoming better and better over the years, but that still doesn’t mean we can get away with them on Zoom meetings. Dressing appropriately and putting on some makeup (for those who are used to using makeup before the pandemic) is still mandatory and it can be daunting when you know you have nowhere to go.

By now, it’s clear that “virtual makeup” is a necessity for many people who work from home. If you’d like to try it, you now can thanks to L’Oréal. The beauty company bought an augmented reality filter company Modiface in 2018 and they’ve just launched Signature Faces, the filter that allows you to virtually use the company’s lip products, eye makeup, and hair products.

The filters are currently available on Instagram, Snapchat, Google Duo, and Snap Camera. Snap Camera allows you to use the filters across many video chat services, including Zoom and Houseparty. There’s more info about the support for their filters on their website.

“We believe you are beautiful as you are, but in a world where the camera is always on, if you want to play around with some filters then we think that is ok too! Introducing a whole new experience of modern makeup,” L’Oréal writes.
