With only four ingredients, this banana bark is so easy to make and healthier than a lot of other sweet snacks you might come across. Plus, you can easily freeze the finished result to have on hand for when your sweet craving hits.
Step 1: Bananas
The first step is to slice a couple of bananas (not overripe) evenly. Line the banana pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Step 2: Peanut Butter
Next, count the bananas with a generous amount of crunchy peanut butter. Depending on your preference, you can also opt for smooth peanut butter, almond butter, or any other nut butter. But natural nut butter does work best here.
Step 3: Chocolate
This is where the magic starts to happen. Heat some chocolate in a double boiler in the microwave and spread it in an even layer over the peanut butter.
Step 4: Sea Salt
Yes, that’s right. Sea salt is the finishing touch. This will bring out the sweetness of the chocolate and the banana and add a nice contrasting salty taste. Freeze until it sets and enjoy!
