The Rise of Streaming Services

Streaming services have been on the rise for over a decade, and 2020 has been their best year so far. Warner Bros.’ decision to simultaneously release their 2021 movies in theaters and on HBO Max has proven to be a huge game-changer but also stirred controversy that still hasn’t died down.

Award Season Shift

The Oscars are now set to take place on April 25th, 2021 after being postponed by two months. Many major ceremonies followed, and we’re yet to see if this will be a one-time thing or a major change that will completely transform the award season schedule.
