Latin music has been on the rise for a couple of years now, and it’s not going away anytime soon. Even artists who aren’t fluent in Spanish are trying to sing in this language, and they gave us a couple of pretty great songs along the way.

Billie Eilish

Billie Eilish’s collaboration with Rosalía has been a long time coming, but it was worth the wait. “Lo Vas A Olvidar” is one of the most moving songs you’ll hear all day, and Eilish’s attempt to sing in Spanish is pretty impressive despite the fact she doesn’t speak it fluently.

Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez is no stranger to singing in Spanish, but there’s something that sets her new song “De Una Vez” apart. It’s her very first Spanish-language single, and it does a perfect job paying homage to her Latin roots through its dreamy music video.

Carrie Underwood

Carrie Underwood ended 2020 on a high note—by joining forces with Spanish singer David Bisbal and recording an emotional new song “Tears of Gold”. It’s the country star’s first bilingual Spanish song, and she’s shown “a profound admiration” for this language according to Bisbal.
