To say things have changed drastically over the past year would be a huge understatement. Our priorities have shifted and many people are making lifestyle changes. Among them are switching from cars to bicycles. Since we’ve been working from home more and traveling less, bicycling has become a more popular mode of transportation. So, why are people making the switch and why should you hop onto the trend?

Reduces Carbon Footprint

Bicycling is much more eco-friendly than driving a car because it reduces greenhouse gas emissions. Even electric bikes produce significantly fewer emissions than cars. If more people switch to cars, there’s less need for wide roads and parking lots, which reduces the resources needed to make, transport, and park them.

Saves Money

Save money on fuel, insurance, repairs, and maintenance by cycling. In fact, you can save nearly $2,000 a year just from making the switch.

Increases Physical Activity

Sitting all day isn’t good for your health and you can add exercise into your day by cycling. It’s a great cardio exercise because it’s easy on the joints, improves cardiovascular health, increases bone density, and releases endorphins. What more could you want?
