It’s been a few weeks since Billie Eilish teased a new era of her career with a shag blonde hairstyle, and we finally know what she’s been talking about. Her sophomore album Happier Than Ever is on the way, and here’s how she’s teasing its release—breaking the internet along the way.

Album Teaser

Eilish has discussed her new album on several occasions in the past, but she finally made its release official last week. She shared the cover art revealing its title Happier Than Ever, said it’s going to hit the shelves on July 30th, and described it as her favorite thing that she’s ever created.

“Your Power”

Shortly after teasing her upcoming album, Eilish gave us the taste of things to come with a brand-new single “Your Power”. She called it “an open letter to people who take advantage—mostly men” and directed the chilling visual for this song, that shows her alone in the mountains, with a giant anaconda wrapped around her body.

“Vogue” Cover Story

Eilish also managed to create a lot of buzz for her new album with a recent cover story for the British Vogue. She ditched her signature oversized clothes for the occasion and opted for a “classic, old-timey pin-up” look, that was her own idea. Citizens of the interrnet have been going wild over this cover for days now, critisizing her for her choice to follow society’s dictations with the new look but she’s already answered those critics in the interview, saying “my thing is that I can do whatever I want.”
