Illustrator and craft master Shayda Campbell wants to encourage you to paint pretty and enjoy the process. With a buzzing social media presence, which includes a successful YouTube channel and a popular Instagram page, Campbell teaches the basics of drawing, watercolor painting, journaling, and other crafts.
According to Campbell there are many benefits to everyday creativity, the first being the process itself, and the second—the product (“it’s lovely to be surrounded by lovely things” writes Campbell on her website, and we couldn’t agree more). With much free time on our hands and little to do, Campbell’s YouTube channel is the calm, inspirational space we’ve been looking for.
Her lessons include illustration tutorials, watercolor courses, and the ins and outs of bullet journaling. She also has an introduction to simple hand-lettering, and landscape and floral paintings. “I hope you’ll grab a paintbrush and join me,” she writes. “Because creativity is play, anyone can do it!”
