There’s a new film on the horizon that everybody is sure to be talking about in a few months. But you’re ahead of the curve, which is why you’re reading about it now. The film is called Sanctuary, and it’s a thriller starring Margaret Qualley and Christopher Abbott, two definite rising stars in the acting world. The movie, which wrapped production in New York, is directed by Zachary Wigon, who also made 2014’s the Heart Machine.

The story, which was written by Micah Bloomberg, co-creator of Amazon’s Homecoming, unfolds over a single evening, telling the story of a dominatrix (Qualley) and her rich client Hal (Abbott). Hal attempts to cut ties with his mistress after the death of his father and his soon-to-be inheritance of his late father’s vast fortune, but it doesn’t exactly go according to plan.

As far as the cast goes, you probably recognize Qualley from Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, or maybe from HBO’s The Leftovers. Meanwhile, Abbott is most known for playing Charlie in HBO’s Lena Dunham-directed Girls as well as several Broadway roles.

With this cast and this story, Sanctuary is almost sure to be a movie worth keeping an eye on. No release date has been announced yet.
