Hilarious autocorrect mistakes people regretted sending

For all of us out there who own a smartphone (that’s virtually everyone nowadays), we know how frustrating autocorrect can be at times. Sure, it helps more times than not, but it also likes to change words that you don’t want to change. And, sometimes, it can lead to some pretty hilarious text exchanges.

Yeah, that would be illegal

Autocorrect has to have a brain, right? Outside of being intelligent enough (we may be generous when we say that) to correct to common words, it has the power to transform your text into something inappropriate. Take this exchange, for example.

Yeah, that would be illegal

What do you think, would Krispy Koreans calm someone’s nerves? Probably not, and how would that even work anyway? Let’s just say thank goodness the sender quickly corrected their mistake (or autocorrect’s mistake). All bullets were dodged on this one.

Bad time to not respond

Whatever you do, don’t be that one guy who sends an incorrect message, only to wait forever to respond. There’s nothing like waking up in the morning only to see a message that your dad’s in prison.

Bad time to not respond

We don’t know if this was an autocorrect mistake or just a cruel joke. “Interested” must have been changed to “in prison”, but how does that even happen? Of course, you’d think that if the father was in prison, the person would’ve called instead of sending a text.

Got to love those eye slicers

Have you ever actually used an eye slicer? They are pretty nifty. When one of your eyes needs to be sliced, they work about as well as anything. Wait, that isn’t normal? Alright, all joking aside, this mom didn’t even know that autocorrect screwed her message up.

Got to love those eye slicers

She just rolled with it like she meant to say it. At the end, she did fix “eyes” and changed it to eggs. We’re still trying to figure out what the mom was trying to say. Maybe she was serious after all.

Laughter is the best medicine

Sometimes, all you need is a little laughter to brighten up your day (which is what we’re trying to do here). Some autocorrect mistakes are blessings in disguise. Take this person, as they were clearly a bit anxious at the time of this exchange. “Ring” got switched to “ripen,” and it made for quite the funny exchange.

Laughter is the best medicine

Thankfully, the person on the other end was witty enough to come up with what they said. They even found a picture of someone actually using a banana phone. Wait, are those suckers real?

Don’t set the children on fire, please

Everything was going fine and well with this text. That is until autocorrect decided to make things interesting. Can you imagine reading this text? What’s your response when someone says they’re going to ignite the children that they’re going to babysit?

Don’t set the children on fire, please

Do you think the sitter would get a tip for that? At least the sender caught this one right away. Ignoring children is certainly a better answer than setting them on fire. That’s never a good alternative.

Two fails for the price of one

When autocorrect strikes, it usually does so in bunches. There’s nothing like talking to your mom and letting her know that you devoured a baby on that day. Oops, way to give your mom a heart attack. Oh yeah, by the way mom, I’m a realtor by day and a cannibal by night.

Two fails for the price of one

Things got even better after that, though, as the sender revealed it was actually a gorilla. Honestly, that’s better than eating a baby child, though we’re not sure how raw gorilla tastes.
