]]>The American Music Awards came back to Los Angeles last weekend, and the red carpet at this award show didn’t look as colorful as we’re used to. Long, black dresses were ruling the red carpet this time around, and here are five stars that opted for this look.
Cardi B switched things up while hosting this year’s AMA’s, but decided to paint it black with her first look. She hit the red carpet in a Schiaparelli gown with a sheer veil, and made her look even more dramatic with a golden mask, nails, and earrings.
Bailey also couldn’t resist hitting the carpet in a long, black gown, but her velvet Monsoori number had just enough edge thanks to its daring cutouts and thigh-high slit.
Speaking of black cutout dresses, the Outer Banks actress also embraced this trend. She paired her Mônot dress with long, leather gloves.
Siwa looked positively radiant at the AMAs red carpet in a long off-the-shoulder tulle gown with a sheer, ruffled skirt.
Underwood hit the AMAs stage alongside fellow country star Jason Aldean, and wore a stunning long-sleeve black gown with a ruffled skirt and a statement belt for the occasion.

]]>Over the past year there’s been a shortage of red carpet events, but at the 2020 American Music Awards, celebrities more than made up for the missing glamour and sparkle. From sequins and beading to rhinestones and iridescent material, stars were looking to make their mark at the awards show. These are the most sparkly, show-stopping looks from the night all with one thing in common—they shined bright.
While it’s not often that we see Hilton at awards shows, she looked stunning in this deep-V sparkly sequin mini by Valdrin Sahiti with sheer embellished sleeves.
The American Music Award winner looked the part in this figure-hugging Ralph & Russo gown with shiny accents that would also make a great bridal gown for any daring bride.
The host of the night slayed the red carpet in a silver beaded shift dress with fringe embellishment by Giorgio Armani. She completed the look with a gorgeous matching headwrap that we’re totally here for.
The “Not 20 Anymore” singer wore this silver sparkly one-shoulder Julien Macdonald dress with a high slit and deep-cut front that was as daring as it was chic.
Can J-Lo do wrong on a red carpet? We don’t think so. She showed off her toned body in this two-piece Balmain set that shined bright on the red carpet.
We love when stars opt for suits and Delevingne’s Dolce & Gabbana one showed that dresses aren’t the only winning red carpet look.

]]>Not all trends are created equally and sparkle and sequin seemed to be the ones to beat at the American Music Awards. We could barely keep our eyes open from how bright and glittery the red carpet was this year. These looks happened to outshine the rest.
If you want to replicate this look from the actress and dancer it will set you back $2.4 million just for the suit. We can see why, it just screams class. The Marlan Bretin suit took over 6 months to make because the Swarovski crystals were sewn into the silk.
This eggplant dress screams New Year’s Eve party with the one-shoulder detail and sequin all over. The thigh-high split shows the perfect amount of leg and we got to see just a peek of the gold platform sandals which we also love.
Another outfit we would totally rock at a holiday party. The country singer wore a red and silver suit with black tuxedo lapels. Ballerini wore the blazer open, showing just a peek of her stomach.
This asymmetrical olive green dress by Julien Macdonald with black thigh-high boots was definitely a bit edgier of a look than we’re used to seeing the Lover singer in. The outfit provided the perfect amount of glam for Swift who was named Artist of the Decade.
