The race of the song of the summer is always pretty heated, and things have gotten wilder than ever this year. Everyone from Sabrina Carpenter to Chappell Roan has given us a strong contender for the song that will define this season, and here are five that we can’t get enough of.

Sabrina Carpenter – “Espresso”

Despite not hitting No. 1, Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso” is definitely one of the songs that will define 2024, and its catchy beat and silly lyrics made it the ultimate summer hit.

Chappell Roan – “Good Luck, Babe!”

Chappell Roan’s rise to the top has been a joy to watch, and she wouldn’t be where she is today without her heartbreaking breakout hit “Good Luck, Babe!”.

Billie Eilish – “Birds of a Feather”

Another song that perfectly blends tenderness and loss, Billie Eilish’s “Birds of a Feather” is a true organic hit, and it could easily eclipse the popularity of all the other songs from her latest album Hit Me Hard and Soft.

Charli XCX – “Girl, So Confusing” ft. Lorde

Charli XCX’s Brat is one of the most beloved albums to hit the shelves this summer, and the” Girl, So Confusing” remix featuring Lorde does a great job exploring the intricacies of female friendship.

Tinashe – “Nasty”

Tinashe finally found the viral success she’s been searching for with “Nasty”, and the iconic “match my freak” line inspired countless hilarious memes since its release.

Sabrina Carpenter – “Please Please Please”

This past week has given us several amazing music videos, starting with Sabrina Carpenter’s “Please Please Please”. She served major Bonnie and Clyde vibes in this epic visual alongside her boyfriend Barry Keoghan, the star of Saltburn and The Banshees of Inisherin.

Ariana Grande – “The Boy Is Mine”

Ariana Grande’s latest music video sees her transforming into Catwoman and stalking Penn Badgley. It also features a cameo from Brandy and Monica, whose hit song “The Boy is Mine” inspired her own.

Billie Eilish – “Chihiro”

Billie Eilish’s self-directed video for “Chihiro” is less elaborate than the previous two, but that didn’t stop Paper Towns star Nat Wolff from signing up to play her love interest.

Charli XCX – “360”

Charli XCX made quite a splash with her new album Brat and created a lot of hype for this record with the “360” video starring some of the internet’s biggest “it girls”, including Chloë Sevigny, Julia Fox, Rachel Sennott, and Emma Chamberlain.
