]]>The Billboard 200 chart is the biggest indicator of the success of newly released albums and many of the chart-topping records this spring had one thing in common. Hip-hop albums are all the rage right now and here are some of the very best that topped the charts in the past month.
Kendrick Lamar’s fans spent five years waiting for his latest studio album, so it’s not a surprise to see it soar to No. 1. This record took things to a whole new level by scoring the largest week for an album released in 2022.
Future never had any trouble topping the Billboard 200 chart and he did it for the eighth time with I Never Liked You. This album reunited the rapper with many of his long-time collaborators such as Drake, Kanye West, Gunna, Young Thug, and Kodak Black.
Pusha T’s latest studio effort featured A-list collaborations with the likes of Kanye West, Jay-Z, Pharrell Williams, and Labrinth and its chart triumph was easy to predict.
Seeing Tyler, the Creator score No. 1 with Call Me If You Get Lost this April was somewhat of an anomaly for the Billboard 200 chart, but it’s easy to explain. The album was originally released in June last year, but its vinyl release pushed it back to No. 1.

]]>If you take a closer look at all the songs that topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart this fall, you’ll notice a familiar pattern. All the tracks that reached no. 1 in the past few weeks saw two or more artists joining forces, and that’s the case with these three chart-topping singles.
If we had to pick a single song that’s been dominating Billboard Hot 100 in the past few months, it would definitely be this one. The Kid Laroi’s collaboration with his idol Justin Bieber managed to stay on top for seven weeks, becoming one of the longest-running no. 1 singles of the year.
“Industry Baby” debuted at no. 2 when it originally came out back in July, and its climb to the top was a joy to watch. Its surge to no. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 was pushed by the release of two new versions, one with an alternative digital single cover and an extended mix.
Drake broke the record for the highest number of top-10 singles from one album making it to the Billboard Hot 100, but only one could reach the top. “Way 2 Sexy” put his new LP Certified Lover Boy on the map, and it became his latest collaboration to hit no. 1.

]]>Drake’s music videos have always been a wild ride, and that didn’t change this year. Lockdowns didn’t stop him from shooting amazing new visuals for his latest singles, and he really took things to a whole new level with these three.
Drake’s latest music video is one wild ride, despite the fact he only appears on the screen for about a minute. The duo behind this smash-hit enlisted Justin Bieber to take the lead role in the music video, which references the reckless lifestyle he was once known for.
The video for “Toosie Slide” would be unremarkable at any other time, but not in 2020. It’s one of the music videos that defined the early days of quarantine, and it shows Drake dancing around his lavish Toronto mansion while wearing a mask and gloves.
“Life Is Good” is the most-watched YouTube video of the year so far—and for a good reason. Drake and Future always had really great chemistry together, and it’s a blast to watch them do a series of ordinary jobs by each other’s side.
