The PSL makeup trend is all about embracing natural earthy tones, ranging from orange and brown to bronze, but there’s more to it than meets the eye. In addition to experimenting with these colors, you’ll also have to try to achieve a monochromatic makeup look, matching eye shadow and liner to your bronzer and lipliner.
Mat Wulff, Ulta Beauty’s pro team member, discussed this rising trend with Glamour and explained why we’ll be seeing the pumpkin spice makeup everywhere this season.
“This fall it’s all about warm, inviting looks… Brown tones complement a wide range of skin tones and offer a simple method to enhance your daily makeup. The monochromatic look is also universally appealing and adds a finishing touch to your entire ensemble,” said Wulff.
The pumpkin spice makeup is already a huge hit in Hollywood, and we’ve several celebrities give it their seal of approval, including Selena Gomez, Florence Pugh, Vanessa Hudgens, and Shay Mitchell. It also doesn’t hurt it’s case it’s pretty easy to copy, as long as you have multiple makeup products in similar earthy tones.
