This Is Us

Unlike One Day, This Is Us centered on not one but many different couples over its run, and it sees their relationships evolve over several timelines.

Alice & Jack

Another recently released show that’s strikingly similar to One Day, this series stars Andrea Riseborough and Domhnall Gleeson as two imperfect people being brought together by faith, time and time again, over 16 years.

Surprise: Sydney Sweeney

Fans of Euphoria were pushing for Sydney Sweeney to receive an Emmy nod ever since the second season came out. She exceeded everyone’s wildest expectations and became a double nominee with Euphoria and The White Lotus.

Snub: Selena Gomez

Only Murders in the Building received a total of 17 nominations at this year’s Emmys, but the Television Academy didn’t show Selena Gomez any love for her performance.

Surprise: Abbott Elementary

Abbott Elementary deserves every word of praise coming its way, but it was still a shocker to see Emmy voters fully embrace this broadcast network series in the era of streaming.

Snub: Acclaimed Comedies
