Roland Garros was always the place where Rafael Nadal shines the brightest, and this year was no exception. He easily defeated Novak Djokovic in the final match and scored another victory at this Grand Slam tournament, but his triumph carried more weight than ever before this time around.

The King of Roland Garros

It was clear that Rafael Nadal was the undisputed king of Roland Garros long before this year, and his latest victory just confirmed no one else is even close to stealing this title.

Nadal currently has 13 French Open wins under his belt, more than any other tennis player in history. To make the whole thing even more impressive, he won this year’s Roland Garros title without losing a single set throughout the tournament.

Tying Roger Federer’s Record

After scoring his latest win at the French Open, Nadal managed to tie Roger Federer’s all-time record of 20 Grand Slam titles. Federer congratulated his biggest rival for achieving this incredible feat and said they “pushed each other to become better players” over the years.

Nadal also discussed his new record after his latest win and said it means a lot to share this number with Federer because they had an amazing rivalry for such a long time. Despite this enormous success, he’s trying to stay humble and see what the future holds.
