HBO recently announced they’re temporarily putting the show’s third season on hold, but added they remain committed to making an exceptional third season. The creator Sam Levinson is one of the culprits behind the delay, with several publications reporting that the scripts for Season 3 aren’t finished yet.
Cast’s Busy Schedules
Since Euphoria first premiered in 2019, some of its stars became one of the most sought-after young actors in Hollywood. Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schafer, and Sydney Sweeney all have several high-profile projects on the way, so it’s not a shocker to see HBO announcing they’re allowing them to pursue other opportunities in the interim.

Among the highlights was the memorable reunion of the cast of Fox’s Ally McBeal, which took us back to the late ’90s and early 2000s, when the show was a cultural touchstone.
The reunion was a beautifully orchestrated trip down memory lane. Calista Flockhart, aka Ally McBeal, appeared on stage in a recreation of the show’s iconic bathroom set. As the Ally McBeal theme song played, Flockhart started a witty monologue, reminiscent of Ally’s inner dialogues that charmed audiences during the show’s original run.
The nostalgia didn’t stop there. Greg Germann, Peter MacNicol, and Gil Bellows joined Flockhart, emerging from the bathroom stalls in a humorous nod to the show’s famous fantasy sequences. Plot Details
The first two seasons of Bridgerton followed the events of the first two books in Julia Quinn’s series, but this period drama will switch the gears in Season 3. The show’s next chapter will be based on the fourth novel Romancing Mister Bridgerton, and it will chronicle Penelope Featherington’s relationship with her long-time crush Colin Bridgerton.
Cast
Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton will lead the third season as Penelope and Colin, and they’ll be joined by the majority of the show’s ensemble cast. Snub: Best Musical/Comedy
It was quite a shocker to see several hit musicals, including The Color Purple, The Little Mermaid, and Wonka shot out of the best comedy or musical field to make room for No Hard Feelings starring Jennifer Lawrence.
Surprise: Foreign Films Make a Cut
It was quite refreshing to see foreign films Anatomy of a Fall and The Zone of Interest, receive nods for the best drama film, while Fallen Leaves’ Alma Pöysti even broke into the competitive acting field.
Snub: Abbot Elementary Stars
Abbott Elementary will be in the running for the best comedy/musical series this year, but Quinta Brunson is the only member of its ensemble cast to receive an acting nod.
Surprise: Saltburn Love
Barry Keoghan and Rosamund Pike received acting nods for their performances in Saltburn, with the latter even booting front-runners Viola Davis (Air) and America Ferrera (Barbie) out of the star-studded best supporting actress field.
