]]>You may have noticed a ton of trailers were released this weekend and that’s because Netflix held its TUDUM event—a three-hour virtual showcase of previews and panels they dubbed a “Global Fan Event”. The event showcased a ton of new and returning titles and we’re most excited about our favorite shows returning! Here are the sneak peeks of the shows we’re most excited about.
The Witcher got two clips from the upcoming season with the first being a look at Kristofer Hivju’s monstrous character Nivellen and the second being of Ciri, played by Freya Allan. There was also an extended “Road to Season 2” trailer which showed never-before-seen footage from the upcoming season and Netflix announced the show will be returning for a third season.
Things are getting spooky in Season 4 of Stranger Things with a new creepy house titled Creel House. The trailer starts with a look at the Creel family moving into their home in the 1950s, but the family is murdered before it cuts to the present day in the series with the Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) are her gang. The show is set to be released in 2022.

Season 2 of Bridgerton will focus on Anthony Bridgerton’s (Jonathan Bailey) search for a wife and it looks like he’s met his match with potential suitor Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley). The show hasn’t been given a release date yet, but it’s been renewed for a third and fourth season.
The fourth and final season of Ozark showed a trailer with Wendy (Laura Linney) and Marty Byrde (Jason Bateman) washing blood off in the bathroom sink while in Mexico working with the drug cartel family. The final season hasn’t gotten a release date, but it will be two parts.

]]>After months of anticipation, the Emmy nominations are finally in, and they’re honoring a long list of well-deserved shows. The list of contenders for this year’s ceremony brought several pretty big snubs and surprises, and here are five that got everyone talking.
Some of the most surprising nominations of the year hail from the outstanding comedy series category. PEN15, Emily in Paris, and Cobra Kai will be competing against obvious front-runners, such as Ted Lasso and The Flight Attendant.
Steve McQueen gave us one of the best anthology series of 2020 with Small Axe, with amazing performances from Letitia Wright and John Boyega, but the Emmy voters weren’t paying attention.
The majority of contenders in the outstanding drama series category were easy to predict, but it was a surprise to see Amazon’s superhero satire The Boys make the cut.
Kidman received Golden Globe and SAG Award nominations for her performance in The Undoing, so it was a surprise not to see her repeat the same success at the Emmys.
Seeing Hamilton score a nomination for the outstanding variety special wasn’t surprising, but the acting nomination for seven of its cast members wasn’t something we expected.

]]>The global pandemic disrupted the production of several Netflix shows, leading to the cancelation of GLOW, I Am Not Okay with This, The Society, and many more beloved projects. After a wild cancelation streak, some of the most popular shows on this streaming platform are finally being renewed.
This quirky superhero show is one of Netflix’s biggest hits at the moment and renewing it was a no-brainer for the streaming giant. The last season ended with an epic cliffhanger that left fans asking for more, and Netflix recently confirmed that Season 3 is on the way.
Emily in Paris is probably one of the most polarizing new series of the year, but that’s exactly its charm. Streaming numbers are the priority for Netflix, and no matter if you’re tuning in to love-watch or hate-watch Emily’s adventures in the City of Light—you’re showing up and you’ll be there for Season 2.
After the original Narcos wrapped up in 2017, Netflix gave us a successful spin-off taking place in Mexico, with Diego Luna in the lead role. Season 3 is on the way with a new showrunner and Luna is not expected to return since he’ll soon start shooting the Cassian Andor series for Disney+.

]]>Netflix gave us another binge-worthy, guilty pleasure show with Emily in Paris—the story of a young American woman who lands her dream job in the City of Lights. If you’ve already watched all episodes of this series in a single sitting, here are five shows you should watch next.
Emily in Paris is basically the 2020 version of Sex and the City, which isn’t much of a surprise since Darren Star created both shows.
Younger was also created by Star, and it centers on a 40-year-old divorcee who pretends she’s much younger than she really is in an attempt to boost her professional and personal life.
Jane by Design is another reversed identity show similar to Younger. It follows the adventures of a teenage girl who lands her dream job in the fashion industry after being mistaken for an adult.
The Bold Type centers on three BFFs working for a prestigious fashion magazine. It’s similar in tone to Emily in Paris because it follows millennial female protagonists with amazing fashion sense and thriving careers.
Speaking of stylish millennial leads, the main character in this series was inspired by Nasty Gal founder Sophia Amoruso and she’s basically Emily Cooper outside of Paris.
