White dresses were going stronger than ever at this year’s Grammys, and some of our favorite stars looked positively bridal on the red carpet. Madison Beer, Kelly Clarkson, and Olivia Rodrigo hit the red carpet wearing white, while Taylor Swift and Summer Walker put a fun twist on this trend.
Gowns with cutout details were all the rage at this year’s Grammys, with multiple stars embracing this trend. Tyla and Paris Hilton donned sheer dresses with cutouts, and they were joined by Paris Jackson, Miley Cyrus, Dua Lipa, Heidi Klum, and Chloë Bailey.

]]>From Sam Smith and Dua Lipa to Megan Thee Stallion and Olivia Rodrigo, the list of previous Grammy winners for best new artist includes some of the biggest music stars of today. Many worthy contenders scored nominations for this prestigious award this year, and here’s everything you should know about them.
Abrams served as an opening act for Olivia Rodrigo and Taylor Swift. Her first studio album Good Riddance debuted at No. 3 in the UK and produced the hit single “I Know It Won’t Work”.
English producer and DJ released three albums in his Actual Life series and collaborated with the likes of FKA Twigs, Future, Swedish House Mafia, and Skrillex.
Dubbed “rap’s new princess”, Ice Spice scored four Grammy nods this year thanks to the success of her collaborations “Karma” with Taylor Swift” and “Barbie World” with Nicki Minaj. Her rise to prominence started with the PinkPantheress collab “Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2”.
Jelly Roll is already a household name in the world of country, and he collected several CMA Awards and ACM Awards before scoring his first Grammy nod.
The former Disney star Coco Jones is rising through the ranks of R&B music, and she received five Grammy nods this year thanks to her EP What I Didn’t Tell You and hit song “ICU”.
The indie rock singer Noah Kahan already has three studio albums under his belt, but his latest Stick Season became the biggest hit to date after debuting at No. 3 in the US.
After years of writing music for the likes of Ariana Grande and Chloe x Halle, it’s finally Victoria Monét’s moment to shine in the spotlight! She’s one of the most nominated artists at this year’s Grammys thanks to the success of the hit single “On My Mama” from her debut album Jaguar II.
Michael Trotter Jr. and Tanya Trotter form the music duo The War and Treaty, whose music mixes the elements of blues, gospel, soul, bluegrass, and country.

]]>The Recording Academy finally announced nominations for the Grammy Awards last week, with SZA leading the pack with nine nods. The list of nominees brought many snubs and surprises our way, and here are five that got everyone talking.
In one of the most pleasant Grammy surprises this year, the main fields are more female-dominated than ever. Seven out of eight contenders for album of the year are female acts, including SZA, Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, and Miley Cyrus.
This year’s best pop duo/group performance field includes some worthy contenders, but it’s missing such smash hits as “Calm Down” by Selena Gomez and Rema, “Escapism” by Raye and 070 Shake, and “Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2” by PinkPantheress and Ice Spice.
Victoria Monét’s big break was a long time coming, and it’s finally her moment to shine in the spotlight. The R&B singer is one of the most nominated artists this year with seven nods, including record of the year and best new artist.
Several Latin artists were shockingly overlooked by the Recording Academy this year, including Peso Pluma for best new artist and Karol G’s Mañana Será Bonito for album of the year.
It’s not a shocker to see Barbie: The Album be nominated for best soundtrack, but that’s just the beginning! Four out of five nominees for best song written for visual media hail from this movie, while Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For?” and Dua Lipa’s “Dance the Night” even scored nods for song of the year.

]]>AI-generated music is experiencing a huge boom these days, but not everyone seems to be a fan. From Drake to John Legend, several acclaimed artists spoke against the use of artificial intelligence in the music industry.
Several AI-generated Drake collaborations went viral in recent months, including a fake duet with The Weeknd “Heart On My Sleeve”. The Canadian rapper openly spoke against this trend, describing his fake collaboration with Ice Space as “the last straw”.
Ice Cube isn’t a huge fan of AI-generated songs, and he even went so far as to say it’s “demonic” to have someone take your original voice and manipulate it without having to pay.
John Legend didn’t criticize AI-generated music as harshly as some other artists, but he believes it should be regulated because artists should have control over how their voices are used in the world.
Sting recently told BBC that “the building blocks of music belong to us, to human beings”, adding that he anticipates musicians will face a battle against AI in upcoming years.
The Recording Academy is also taking a firm stance against AI, introducing the rule that says that “only human creators are eligible to be submitted for consideration for, nominated for, or win a Grammy Award” at the upcoming ceremony.

]]>We can always count on the Grammy Awards to bring some show-stopping red carpet looks our way and this year’s ceremony certainly delivered. Here are five amazing red carpet trends that stole the show at this year’s Grammys.
Dramatic gloves have been going strong for quite some time and they were all the rage at the Grammys, with everyone from Doja Cat and Beyonce to Bebe Rexha and Dylan Mulvaney wearing a pair.
Neon shades of orange and yellow brought some sunshine to the Grammys, and we can thank Lizzo and Kelsea Ballerini for putting this trend on the map.
Some of the Grammy Awards’ best red carpet looks came in beautiful shades of purple and blue, with Cardi B, Jennifer Lopez, and Taylor Swift opting for dresses in these shades.
Cutouts are another fashion trend that’s been ruling Hollywood for quite some time. Mary J. Blige, Kelsea Ballerini, Paris Hilton, Cardi B, and Bebe Rexha couldn’t resist this fashion craze.
Dramatic black dresses were everywhere at this year’s ceremonies, and Doja Cat, Laverne Cox, and Anitta gave us the most memorable looks in this color.

]]>The 2023 Grammy Awards nominations are finally in, with Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar leading the way. It wasn’t a shocker to see their work recognized by the Recording Academy, but this year’s list of nominees brought many snubs and surprises that we didn’t see coming.
The Recording Academy truly let down some of the leading Latin artists this year, starting with Rosalia, who only got a consolation nomination for best Latin rock or alternative album for Motomami.
Mamma mia, ABBA is back! The Swedish pop group dropped a new album Voyage last year, and Grammy voters awarded them with four nods, including the coveted album of the year.
Nicki Minaj criticized the Grammys for moving her chart-topping hit “Super Freaky Girl” from rap to pop. This category shift eventually cost her the nomination, since she failed to break through in the competitive pop field.
The Recording Academy is showing a lot of love to Mary J. Blige this year. Her latest album Good Morning Gorgeous is in the running for album of the year and this is just one out of six awards she was nominated for.
It’s really a joy to see the likes of Anitta, Latto, and Måneskin nominated for the best new artist, but the glaring omission of several promising young female vocalists, such as Em Beihold, Dove Cameron, GAYLE, Tate McRae, and Lauren Spencer-Smith, truly stings.

]]>The Grammy Awards took place on Sunday with Jon Batiste and Silk Sonic taking top awards by the end of the night. The live show gave us more amazing performances than we can count and here are five that created the most buzz and got everyone talking.
We’ve already seen many live performances of Rodrigo’s breakout hit “Drivers License”, but it’s always fun to see what’s she’ll come up with next and her Grammy performance perfectly summed up the song’s nostalgic vibe.
Lil Nas X brought some amazing choreography to the Grammys with his futuristic medley of the best songs from his album Montero, including “Dead Right Now,” “Montero” & “Industry Baby”.
We can count on BTS to go viral and give us an amazing dance performance every time they hit the stage, and they certainly didn’t disappoint when they performed their chart-topping hit “Butter” at the Grammys.
Billie Eilish didn’t win any Grammys this time around, but her performance of “Happier Than Ever” was a consolation prize for her fans. She used it to pay tribute to the late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins.
Cynthia Erivo, Ben Platt, Rachel Zeglel, and Leslie Odom Jr. came together for the “In Memoriam” tribute and performed a touching medley paying homage to the late Stephen Sondheim.

]]>The nominations for the upcoming Grammy Awards have been announced last week, bringing many surprises our way. The list of nominees features some nods and snubs that we didn’t see coming, and here are five that got everyone talking.
Grammy voters have a habit of snubbing BTS, and they did it once again this year. Despite giving us one of the biggest hits of the summer with “Butter”, they received just one nomination.
Jon Batiste deserves all the praise that’s coming his way for his latest album We Are, but no one really expected him to top the list of nominations with 11 nods, beating the likes of Doja Cat and Justin Bieber.
Swift only received a nomination for album of the year with Evermore, but her omission from the nominee list is somewhat understandable because she decided not to submit her re-recordings for nominations.
Despite boycotting the Grammys, The Weeknd received three Grammy nominations this time around, for his recent collaborations with Kanye West and Doja Cat.
The Grammys have shown Musgraves a lot of love when they inexpediently rewarded her with the album of the year for Golden Hour, and that’s why it’s so surprising to see her only get two nods in country categories this time around.

If you’re looking for a way to make a fashion statement, hair clips are always a good idea. That’s exactly what Lizzo did with pink jumbo clips that made her hairstyle truly unforgettable.
Face-framing tendrils have been a huge hit with hairstylists for over a year now, and Megan Thee Stallion and Noah Cyrus were among the celebrities who couldn’t resist rocking them on the red carpet.
Parting hair in the middle is never going out of style. The list of celebrities who rocked this hairstyle at the Grammys is pretty much endless, and it includes everyone from Dua Lipa and Lizzo to Maren Morris and Haim sisters.
Love them or hate them, mullets are still here and going stronger than ever. Doja Cat is the latest celebrity to embrace this trend, following in the footsteps of Miley Cyrus and Rihanna.

Beyoncé didn’t perform at this year’s Grammys, but that didn’t stop her from stealing the show. She topped the list of winners after collecting four trophies, becoming the most rewarded artist in Grammy history with a total of 28 wins.
Megan Thee Stallion was right behind her “Savage” collaborator Beyoncé with three wins. She brought us to tears with her emotional speech after winning the award for the best new artist, becoming the first female rapper to do so in over 20 years.
Dua Lipa delivered one of the most memorable performances of the night—and the impressive number of wardrobe changes—during her medley that included hit songs “Don’t Start Now” and “Levitating” featuring DaBaby.
Harry Styles delivered a great rendition of his chart-topping hit “Watermelon Sugar”, but his outfit stole the show and inspired countless memes during the ceremony.
Taylor Swift became the first woman to win the album of the year three times thanks to Folklore, and rocked our world with a dreamy medley that included “Cardigan”, “August”, and “Willow”.
