Beyoncé will come into the next Grammy Awards with 11 nods, after setting a new record for most nominations at this ceremony, but other artists weren’t as lucky. This year’s list of nominees brought many snubs and surprises our way, and here are five that created the biggest commotion online.

Snub: Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande is coming into this year’s Grammys with three nods, including her sixth consecutive nomination for the best pop vocal album with Eternal Sunshine, but she failed to break into the main categories.

Surprise: The Beatles

The Beatles haven’t been around for decades, but that didn’t stop them from scoring a record of the year nod at the Grammys with their AI-assisted song “Now and Then”, which utilized artificial intelligence to extract John Lennon’s voice from an old demo.

Snub: Dua Lipa

After winning the best pop vocal album with Future Nostalgia, Dua Lipa failed to make a splash with its follow-up Radical Optimism, and she didn’t even break into the pop categories.

Surprise: Album of the Year

The coveted album of the year category brought several surprises our way, with New Blue Sun by André 3000 and Djesse Vol. 4 by Jacob Collier shockingly making the cut.

Snub: Jack Antonoff

Despite producing two of this year’s AOTY contenders—Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department and Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet —Jack Antonoff failed to secure a nod for the producer of the year, the award he won for the past three years.
