Production Process

Lorde has been sporadically teasing the release of new music since Melodrama came out in 2017, and finally confirmed that she returned to the studio last year. Jack Antonoff produced Solar Power by her side, but she recently told The New York Times this isn’t “a Jack Antonoff record” but “a Lorde record”, and he’s simply the one who helped her make it.

Release Date

Solar Power was a long time coming, and it’s Lorde’s first album in four years. It will hit the shelves on August 20th, but she doesn’t intend to release it in CD format.
