Unlike the MCU, which is currently in Phase Five, Sony’s Spider-Man Universe is still in its early days. There are countless intriguing characters still left to explore, and Sony is open to tackling these stories after Venom films found box office success, despite failing to impress the critics.

As for Disney, they only have one MCU film on the way next year: Deadpool 3 on July 26, which took over the release date of Captain America: Brave New World.
