]]>S-x Education became one of Netflix’s signature shows over the course of the past few years, but all good things must come to an end. This acclaimed teen series reached its final season this September, but what’s next for its young cast now that it’s over?
Butterfield was already an established child star before being cast as the lead in this series, and he has several movie roles lined up, including Your Christmas or Mine 2 and College Republicans.
Gatwa is one of the biggest breakout stars that S-x Education introduced us to, and his future is secured after he was cast as the fifteenth version of The Doctor in the cult sci-fi series Doctor Who.
Mackey won the BAFTA Rising Star Award and appeared in several acclaimed films during her time on S-x Education. We’ve seen her star in Barbie alongside Gatwa this summer, and she’s attached to the upcoming drama Hot Milk.
Swindells also appeared in Barbie this summer with his S-x Education co-stars Gatwa and Mackey. He’s currently leading Steven Knight’s war drama SAS: Rogue Heroes and will next be seen in Netflix’s royal drama Scoop alongside Gillian Anderson.
Wood is attached to several TV projects after S-x Education, including mini-series Toxic Town and Alice & Jack, in addition to playing one of the lead roles in the upcoming period comedy Seize Them!

One of the most underrated comedies of the 2020s, The Other Two centered around two misguide siblings trying to forge their path in the entrainment industry after their teenage brother surprisingly became an overnight internet sensation.
Love it or hate it, you must agree that Riverdale was one of the defining pop culture phenomena of the late 2010s, and its run came to an end after seven rollercoaster seasons this August.

]]>The fourth season of S-x Education is currently on the way, but its cast will look much different once it comes back. Many beloved actors left the show ahead of Season 4 and here are three stars who won’t be back when the popular teen comedy returns to Netflix.
Simone Ashley’s departure was the first one to be announced and it didn’t come as a shocker due to her newfound fame in recent months. She was just a supporting character on this teen series, and she left the upcoming season to fully focus on her role in a more popular Netflix series, Bridgeton.
Patricia Allison, who spent three seasons playing Ola, also won’t be returning in Season 4. In a statement announcing her departure, the actress said she absolutely loved being part of S-x Education, but her exit will allow her to do “some other little things” and focus on other projects.
Lily Iglehart, Otis’ quirky alien-loving classmate, was definitely one of S-x Education’s most eccentric characters, but it turns out we’ve seen the last of her in Season 3. Actress Tanya Reynolds told Radio Times that she won’t appear in the upcoming season, adding it’s a natural progression of the show to let a few older characters go and make room for new ones.

]]>Season 3 of Sex Education is finally in, and it’s as amazing as we hoped it would be. Otis, Maeve, Eric, and the rest of the characters we know and love made an expected comeback, but the new season also introduced us to a few new faces that got everyone talking.
Ruby has been part of Sex Education from the very start, but the new season introduced us to new layers of this character. We got to learn more about her during the brief time she was dating Otis, and Mimi Keene definitely stood out as the breakout star of this season.
Jemima Kirke did a great job portraying the new headmistress at Moordale School, who turned out to be the biggest villain of Season 3. Hope seemed pretty cool and chill in the beginning, but it quickly turned out she’s basically the Dolores Umbridge of Moordale, and everyone was happy to see her get the boot.
Cal is one of the most notable new characters introduced in Season 3, and the connection they developed with Jackson Marchetti was a joy to watch. As a non-binary person, Cal struggled with Moordale’s new rules more than most and gave us some of the show’s most powerful moments by standing up for what they believe.
