]]>We can count on Starbucks to welcome every holiday season with new Red Cup designs, and they’ve truly outdone themselves this year. The highly-anticipated festive cups have been unveiled, and they feature a touch of pink this time around.
Starbucks usually sticks to the traditional red and green color palette when it comes to their annual Red Cups, but they decided to put a twist on them in 2023. It seems that the Barbiecore craze took over our favorite coffee chain since new cups feature striking shades of pink.
“We found that magenta alongside the holiday reds and greens lifts the traditional holiday colors and makes the red look even brighter. This year’s holiday theme is ‘Share the Joy.’” It’s our shared human experience and togetherness that makes the season special,” explained Starbucks’ creative director Kristy Cameron in a press release.
Bridget Shilling was in charge of designing the 2023 cup collections, drawing inspiration from classic plaid scarves, peppermint candies, holiday wrapping, and the spirit of the season.
In addition to introducing new cups, Starbucks recently launched a seasonal new drink called iced gingerbread oat milk chai. Several beloved beverages will also make their grand return to the Starbucks menu this holiday season, including the peppermint mocha, caramel brulée latte, chestnut praline latte, and the iced sugar cookie almond milk latte.

]]>On November 15th at 10am, Starbucks will open its largest store in the world. It will be their sixth Reserve Roastery, and it will be located at the space that was previously a Crate & Barrel store.
Until it opens, the Tokyo Reserve Roastery will remain the biggest one in the world. The other five locations are in Seattle, Shanghai, Milan, and New York City.
The Chicago Roastery was first announced in 2017, but Starbucks shared very few details after the initial announcement.
It’s known that it will spread over 43,000-square-foot space, which means it will be more than twice bigger than the NYC Roastery.
The visitors of the roasteries can get lost in the world of coffee and everything related to it – from Starbucks’ beans to big coffee and food menus and exclusive drinks “inspired by the culture and traditions of Chicago,” as the Chicago Tribune reports.
There will be 200 employees and the food will be served by Princi bakery.
The Roastery will be open until 11pm on workdays and until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
