]]>Taylor Swift’s recent Era’s Tour is breaking all kinds of records and the logistics involved are pretty mind-boggling. After a five-year break, we didn’t expect anything short of spectacular for her return to the stage. So what does it take to pull off the biggest music tour in history?
Well first off, her stage is the size of a football stadium that has to be moved around with every show. But the genius thing that Taylor did was create two stages and two teams for her tour. So when she’s performing in say, Texas, there’s a second stage being set up in, for example, Florida. When she’s done with her shows in Texas, she can fly out straight to Florida and hop on an already-ready stage. Meanwhile, the Texas crew will start packing and moving again. So seamless, so smart.
The cost of the logistics for her tour is a staggering $30 million, so that’s about half a million a week. But even more impressive is Taylor’s heart for the people who are helping her make this happen. Back in the summer, Taylor gave a $100,000 bonus to all her truck drivers.
Taylor is an amazing boss not only on stage but also on her team!

]]>After a lot of anticipation, Taylor Swift’s concert film The Eras Tour finally hit the theaters last week to rave reviews and record-breaking box office numbers. Swifties around the world were head over heels to finally see it on the big screen, but they were disappointed by one aspect of the film—the songs that didn’t make the final cut.
Since The Eras Tour covers 10 albums of Swift’s illustrious career, its tracklist is pretty long, but not as long as her full discography. The singer’s fans would like to hear all of their favorite songs in The Eras Tour, but some of them simply couldn’t fit into its 169-minute runtime.
The Eras Tour was filmed during Swift’s concerts at Los Angeles’ So-Fi Stadium on August 3-5, and seven songs she performed along the way didn’t make it to the film. The eagle-eyed fans noticed she omitted, “The Archer”, “‘Tis the Damn Season”, “No Body, No Crime”, “Long Live”, “Seven (Interlude)”, and most shockingly “Cardigan”, the lead single for her eighth studio album Folklore.
Leaving these songs out didn’t stop The Eras Tour from taking the theatres by storm. The concert film was praised by the critics for doing a great job capturing the show’s spectacle and energy, and it grossed $129 million so far, including $100 million in pre-sales alone!

Swift took to social media last week to announce the concert film inspired by The Eras Tour and described it as the most meaningful, electric experience of her life so far. This project was filmed during three shows at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California back in August.
Where & When To See It?
Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour will be released on October 13, and it will be distributed by AMC Theatres in the United States, Canada, and Mexico for four consecutive weekends.
Unconventional Release Model
Swift embraced a pretty unconventional approach when striking an unprecedented distribution deal directly with AMC. She made an unusual move to directly approach AMC and bypass traditional studios, forcing some of them to move the release dates of several filmms they were planning to release on October 13.
Box Office Projections
Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour grossed over $37 million in first-day pre-sale revenue across the U.S. alone and experts are projecting it could earn $100 million during its opening weekend, setting an all-time record for a concert film.
