]]>Many of the leading singing competition shows in the U.S. aired their season finale in the last few days and crowned their winners after months of anticipation. Here’s who managed to beat tough competition and came out victorious at the end of your favorite singing shows.
Grace Kinstler, Willie Spence, and Chayce Beckham were in the running for the top award on the season finale of American Idol. Beckham eventually managed to come out victorious, shortly after his single “23” about his road to sobriety topped Apple Music’s country chart.
Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and Nick Jonas returned for this season of The Voice, and Shelton managed to coach his contestant to victory. Cam Anthony, who got his start as a tween YouTube sensation, was crowned as the winner thanks to a powerful rendition of Cynthia Erivo’s “Stand Up”.
If you still haven’t watched the final episode of The Masked Singer, keep in mind that spoilers are ahead. Piglet was crowned as the winner, and it turned out it was the member of boyband 98 Degrees, Nick Lachey, the whole time. JoJo came in second as Black Swan, while Wiz Khalifa finished third as Chameleon.

]]>If you’re tuning in to the second season of Kelly Clarkson’s TV show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, whether it be on a television set or just through clips on YouTube, you’re probably wondering why Kelly has been wearing an eye patch lately. Is it hyper-festivity about Halloween? Well, unfortunately, the story isn’t quite so fun.
In reality, it all comes down to a bit of dust. While working on the set of The Voice, for which she’s a judge, it turns out that a bit of dust got into Kelly’s eye, potentially scratching it. Add that to an intense allergy to dust and you get inflammation, puffiness, and maybe even infection.
Kelly’s eye is all better now, but she did film six episodes of her show wearing the eye patch, which won’t all air consecutively, so you may see it pop up here and there for the close future.
Thankfully, the injury didn’t hurt Kelly’s sense of humor, and she was able to laugh away the whole situation with her characteristic breezy sarcasm.
