TCL’s QM7L is back in the spotlight after a fresh round of discounts pushed the big-screen model well below its usual price. According to the report, the 85-inch version of the 2026 mini-LED QLED TV is now $1,697.99, down from $2,499.99, which works out to an $800-plus savings and the lowest price tracked so far for this model.
The deal isn’t limited to the 85-inch set. Other sizes in the QM7L lineup are also marked down, including the 65-inch, 75-inch, and 98-inch versions. The series sits between TCL’s more affordable QM6L and the higher-end QM8L, and it’s available in sizes ranging from 55 inches to 98 inches, making it a flexible option for people shopping for a large living-room TV.
On the spec side, the QM7L is built around mini-LED QLED tech and uses different numbers of dimming zones depending on screen size; the 85-inch model has 1,624. That helps deliver strong contrast, with deep-looking blacks even in scenes that include bright highlights. The TV is rated for up to 3,000 nits of brightness, though reviews cited in the report suggest it may reach as high as 3,500 nits. Its glossy screen can help with sunlight reflections, but it may also show rainbow smearing if a light source is directly in front of it.
The main drawback noted in the report is color accuracy. Out of the box, the picture tends to run warmer than intended, while HDR content can lean a bit blue. For viewers who want the most faithful color reproduction, that may be a downside, though the TV can be professionally calibrated. Even with that caveat, the report says the QM7L stands out for offering a lot of premium-style features at a lower price, especially compared with the QM8L.
