This year has been a write-off for many of us, but for one star she’s owned this year. Taylor Swift has made 2020 her year and she’s managed to do a lot of amazing things including releasing new music, winning many awards, and debuting a couple of films. While 2020, isn’t over yet, one thing’s for sure—2020 has been the year of Taylor Swift.

Miss Americana

The singer started off the year releasing Netflix’s Miss Americana, a look at her personal life behind the scenes and her professional life as a singer and songwriter, as well as how she found her voice in the industry.

Folklore

Swift secretly worked on the album and released it with less than a day’s notice in July 2020. It sounds a lot like her first few albums, with more of an indie-folk, alternative-rock tone with piano and guitar guiding it. Some of the most popular songs are “Cardigan” and “Exile”.

Awards

This year, Swift has won many awards including three American Music Awards, an MTV Video Music Award, and she was just nominated for six Grammys for her latest album Folklore and her song for Cats.

Disney+ Folklore Concert Film

This week, Swift released an intimate concert film for her latest album, Folklore, which was released on Disney+. It’s a performance of all 17 songs on the album in order. “It’s an album that allows you to feel your feelings, and it’s a product of isolation,” Swift says in the trailer for the film.
