Season 2 of Ted Lasso concluded on Friday, and fans of the series are already patiently awaiting its follow-up. The Emmy-winning series has been renewed for its third chapter, but what can we expect from it once it comes back?

Main Villain

The season finale of Ted Lasso made it pretty clear what the main conflict is going to be once the series returns for its third season. Rebecca’s ex Rupert bought West Ham United and Nate abandoned AFC Richmond in order to coach them, cementing his status as the main villain of the upcoming season.

Cast Returns

The show’s main cast, including Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, and Juno Temple are all set to return, but they won’t be the only ones making a comeback. Showrunner Bill Lawrence confirmed that Dr. Sharon and Trent Crimm will both have significant roles next year.

Release Date

Season 3 of Ted Lasso still doesn’t have an official release date, but Lawrence is hoping they’ll be able to bring it back to Apple TV+ in August next year. They’re always aiming towards this target date but had to work around the Olympics when it came to the release plans for the second season.
