The Fashion Awards are the British equivalent of the Met Gala, and this year’s ceremony gave us countless amazing looks. We’re bringing you five red carpet trends that ended up stealing the show at this ceremony.

Opera Gloves

Opera gloves truly had a chokehold on the stars in attendance, and we’ve seen everyone from Sheila Atim and Ella Balinska to Mette Towley and Sara Sampaio wear them at this event.

Go Big or Go Home

Some of the dresses at this ceremony were so big they could barely fit on the red carpet, including Aweng Chuol’s Vetements ensemble, Maya Jama’s Dolce & Gabbana gown, and Nicole Scherzinger’s Patrick McDowell dress.

White Lies

White gowns and suits were going stronger than ever at this award show. Anne Hathaway, Maya Jama, Michaela Coel, Pamela Anderson, Simone Ashley, and Maisie Williams gave this color their seal of approval.

Dramatic Corsets

Corsets were a part of some of the most dramatic looks at this year’s Fashion Awards. Munroe Bergdorf, Nicole Scherzinger, Adut Akech, Sheila Atim, and Maya Jama couldn’t resist their draw.

Velvet Fever

Several stars at this year’s Fashion Awards hit the red carpet in dramatic velvet dresses, including Sheila Atim in Harris Reed, Gillian Anderson in Valentio, and Jourdan Dunn in Thaihuy.
