This year’s ACM Awards looked a bit different than other red carpet events—celebrities took country literally on the red carpet, wearing super casual outfits that we’re not used to seeing at awards shows. That’s right—we saw a sea of denim instead of in glamorous suits and dresses. And to be honest, we’re not really sure what to think. Here are the stars who rocked denim at the ACMs.
Miranda Lambert
Lambert had three outfits and one of them was this double denim look featuring flare jeans, turquoise accessories, a white cowboy hat, and white boots. There’s no doubt that this look was totally country.
Blake Shelton
Shelton also went the Canadian tuxedo route with this casual denim on denim on denim look, which begs the question—is there such things as too much denim?
Gabby Barrett
American Idol star Gabby Barrett tried her best to dress up denim with a sheer floral top and heels, but how dressed up can you be in denim?
Dierks Bentley
It’s hard to tell that Bentley was even attending the ACMs with his plaid shirt, jeans, and boots ensemble. At least he was comfy.
Eric Church
Out of all the denim looks of the night, Church’s was the most red carpet appropriate with his red leather jacket, black T-shirt, jeans, and boots. The singer managed to be a little bit of rock and a whole lot of country at the same time.
