All About the Skinimalism Trend

Most of the time, beauty trends are about more: buying more, spending more time on your routine, and working harder to look more beautiful. That’s why the newest skincare trend, skinimalism, is so refreshing. If you’re lazy, low-maintenance, and/or trying to keep to a budget, you’ll love this trend.

Skinimalism is essentially a minimalist approach to skincare, focused on reducing the number of products and ingredients in our skincare routines. It’s also related to taking a more natural approach to beauty, allowing our bare skin to shine rather than slathering it with makeup. It’s a step back from the 15-step Korean skincare routines that were trending a few years ago—or rather, about 10 to 14 steps back.

With skinimalism, you can look forward to a more sustainable, more affordable beauty routine that takes up less time, less energy, and less effort. And while it may take some trial and error to find the right multitasking products that allow you to minimize your beauty routine, it all pays off in the end once you can stop thinking so much and spending so much time on your face every day.

So if you’re a fan of the simple life and get a kick out of reducing, why not Marie Kondo your skincare routine next?
