After almost 15 years, the Enchanted sequel is finally on the way, and its leading lady Amy Adams is ready to spill the tea about this project. She recently shared some crucial details about Disenchanted, and here’s everything we’ve learned about it from Giselle herself.

Full-Blown Musical

Enchanted featured several amazing musical moments, but its sequel will fully lean into this genre. The Oscar-nominated actress recently told Jimmy Fallon that the new movie involves more singing and dancing and that this part proved to be challenging because she’s not in her twenties anymore.

Main Villain

The highly-anticipated sequel will feature several new characters that we weren’t introduced to in the first movie. The Saturday Night Live veteran Maya Rudolph is set to play Malvina Monroe, and Adams described her character as the “baddie” of the new movie.

Magical Setting

Adams’ interview with Fallon confirmed something we already knew about Disenchanted—that it was filmed in Ireland. Several original cast members, including Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden, and Idina Menzel, are set to return. The sequel still doesn’t have a release date, but it’s expected to premiere on Disney+ in 2022.
