Arsenal have completed the signing of Germany forward Lisa Baum from RB Leipzig, adding another young attacking option to their squad ahead of the new season. The move is permanent, and the deal is understood to run for three years with an option for an additional year.
Baum, who is 19, arrives after one season in the Frauen-Bundesliga with Leipzig, where she made 26 appearances and scored six goals. She has also built senior experience in Germany through the youth system, representing the country from under-17 level through to under-23s.
Before her spell at Leipzig, Baum developed at Hamburger SV after joining in 2021. During her time there, she helped the club win two promotions in three years and went on to make 68 appearances, scoring 21 goals in total. She then moved to Leipzig last summer before earning the switch to Arsenal.
Baum will wear the number 19 shirt at Arsenal and becomes the club’s fifth signing of the summer. Manager Renee Slegers said the forward will add direct running and athleticism to the team’s attack, while stressing that the club sees significant room for her to keep improving.
