According to Dayna Isom Johnson, Etsy’s trend expert, this season will be “all about embracing creativity in a way that’s both intentional and unapologetically you”, while statement pieces will “meet everyday ease, and personal style [will feel] more natural than ever.”
“Literary girl” is one of the leading home décor trends to make Etsy’s list, and it’s all about filling your home with books and making it feel like a library. “Messy coquette” will also be having a moment, and it’s all about putting a flirtier and campier vibe on the trendy coquette aesthetic.
Several trends on Etsy’s list are all about giving your home a natural feel. “Maritime living” is all about welcoming the raw, untamed spirit of the sea into your home through such items as fish jugs, engraved book anchors, and vintage-style ship prints. “Island luxe” will also be having a moment, and it’s all about giving your home a beachfront feel.
“Galactic metallic” also made it to Etsy’s list, and you can embrace it through everything from deep blue pieces to zodiac-themed finds. “Châteaucore” is also one of the trends on the list, and it’s all about creating the French countryside charm with embroidered linens, vintage floral ceramics, and golden accents.

Razzle-Dazzle
The red carpet at this year’s BAFTAs was—quite literary—more dazzling than ever. Shimmering gowns with sequined and crystal-encrusted details were going stronger than ever at this award show. Demi Moore and Selena Gomez nailed this trend, along with Monica Barbaro, Camila Cabello, and Annabelle Wallis.
Black With a Twist
Black dresses with a twist were also having a moment at the BAFTAs. Felicity Jones and Lupita Nyong’o opted for a black and white combo, while Ariana Grande and Georgina Chapman chose to go with more vibrant colors. Hannah Dodd, Vanessa Kirby, Marisa Tomei, and Zoe Saldaña also wore black dresses with interesting details.
Positively Bridal

Surprise: Squid Game

Costumes inspired by superheroes aren’t going out of style just yet, and we’ve seen several stars embrace this trend. Lupita Nyong’o and Victoria Monét both dressed up as Storm from the X-Men movies, while Bella Hadid decided to channel her inner Poison Ivy this time around.
Heidi Klum went all in with her Halloween costume this year and attended her annual party in an elaborate E.T. costume alongside her husband Tom Kaulitz. Several more couples delivered amazing matching costumes this year, including Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker as Morticia and Gomez Addams, plus Hailey and Justin Bieber as Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable.
Chloe and Halle Bailey also decided to match, dressing up as Velma and Daphne from Scooby-Doo, in addition to delivering some epic individual costumes. Beyoncé paid homage to Prince’s film Purple Rain by dressing up as his character, while Lori Harvey delivered one of the best Kill Bill costumes in recent memory.

Lively’s lush blonde hair has long been one of her most identifiable traits, and she decided to build a whole brand around it. Gossip Girl star didn’t want to name it after herself because she wanted it to stand on its own, so she opted for the name Blake Brown Beauty as a homage to her father, Ernie Brown.
Lively has put a lot of effort into her relationship with her hair, and she learned it’s healthiest when she takes good care of it. She found a system that worked for her and discovered many hacks while collaborating with some of the very best people in the industry.
She spent seven years working on her own brand, and Blake Brown Beauty was born out of her desire to help other people take better care of their hair. The first drop features several nourishing and strengthening shampoos and masks, which will be available at select Target stores and Blake Brown Beauty’s official website from August 5.

]]>No movie night is complete without a delicious bag of popcorn, so Netflix decided to give us one of their own. They joined forces with Walmart to make your binge-watching sessions more fun with their own popcorn brand, but this launch stirred quite a commotion on social media.
Netflix’s Now Popping is available at Walmart stores nationwide for $4.49 per 8-ounce bag, and it comes in two flavors: “Cult Classic Cheddar Kettle” and “Swoonworthy Cinnamon Kettle”. The streamer decided to launch its own popcorn line because “movie night and popcorn go together like a hot dog and a bun, ice cream and sprinkles, or a beach day and a lounge chair” and joined forces with Popcorn Indiana to make it happen.
The news stirred quite a commotion on social media after the popular X/Twitter account DiscussingFilm posted it on their page. X user @theerkj commented on it by writing “Does it cost extra to share it with family”, poking fun at Netflix’s password-sharing policies, and attracted 12 million views and 480,000 likes along the way.
Many people also felt this wasn’t the kind of business endeavor that Netflix should be focusing on right now. Some joked the price of popcorn would rise every year since Netflix has a habit of significantly increasing its subscription rates, while others felt that making quality content should be the streamer’s main priority.
