It appears that former Dallas Cowboys’ wideout Dez Bryant hasn’t given up on his return to football. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Baltimore Ravens brought in Bryant for a workout and plan to sign him to their practice squad.

Bryant is expected to officially join the team after he passes his physical and goes through COVID-19 protocols.

The 31-year-old wideout already worked out for Ravens in August, but the two sides couldn’t come to an agreement at the time. Now, however, the deal is reportedly imminent.

Dez Bryant last played in the league in 2017, when he had 69 receptions for 838 yards, and six touchdowns in 16 starts with Dallas Cowboys. Since then, his career has been plagued with unfortunate events and injuries.

Bryant was released by the Cowboys in early 2018 and had a hard time landing a new deal before being picked up by New Orleans Saints midway through the season. His spell with Saints was brief, however, as he suffered a season-ending injury on his first practice.

Although he recovered in time to play in 2019, Bryant opted to sit out the year and prepare for 2020. Now he has a chance to play an impactful role for Ravens if he manages to stay healthy.
